Happy Holidays, Exclaimation Point
Wanna know what’s great?!?
What’s great is when I host the Holiday festivities and everyone has a great time at my pad. Good southern food, great times, and the coolest family love can buy. Our family is so diverse, you’d think it’s a U.N. convention, and the funniest moment was when my white uncle yells across the room “I want dark meat!” Bwahaha! (Actually he already has it cause he’s married to my lovely aunt, and they will take over the world with their handsome little sons. My uncle looks something like a Norse God and my aunt like an African Goddess, so you can just about imagine how breathtaking their boys look) Anyway, my brother was a hoot as always, he really should have his own comedy show. His humor is way better than most comedians who already get paid millions, he’d put them to shame on the Last Comic Standing. Anyway, it was an awesome day, and I was happy to be right in the middle of it!
What’s also awesome is when the best hubby in the world buys me the guitar I always wanted. The only suck part of the Holiday was the evil slash I now have across my palm. No, not a turkey-carving wound…much worse, citizens. A couch…that’s right a COUCH attacked me! I was only minding my own business, looking for the remote in the far recesses of the cushions when *chomp!* The couch must have considered this a violation of it’s personal boundaries, (Perhaps a prostate check might be a similar comparison) and the couch fought back with a furious attack with it’s retractable spring action. (only available in older models, bandages sold separately)
I suppose it’s time to buy a new couch. I’ve only ever kept it all this time because it’s a pull-out couch-bed and it serves a great and useful purpose as a place to crash when people get too drunk to drive home, or, relationship forbid, for doghouse purposes.
Time to say goodbye I guess. I can’t have the damn thing attacking my family and friends every time it decides to swallow the tv remote. Anyhow, I’m on the hunt for the perfect new couch. I’ll let you know how it goes.
I also will enjoy learning my new guitar, and maybe, if surrounding ears can take it, even sing a little, assuming of course, I can find a bucket to carry a tune in and a very strong lid as well. ha ha!
Well, it’s time for a little Sonic the Hedgehog and to eat some more good southern food. Be jealous!
I’ll also start blogging a lot more now that I’ve gotten used to my new job and time allows it. So prepare to see a lot more of me and Happy Holidays to you all!
P.S. I love learning new languages, so feel free to send me a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays in your own way of saying it. Yes, you can still just message me if you prefer, I know most of you are shy like that. ![]()
