Recipe for the coolest birthday weekend ever:
Take 1 week off work, add generous amount of lazy behavior, such as frequent naps and searching for your other shoe…from the couch..for 4 hours.
Next, edit your novel…the world is waiting to read it, after all. 4 chapters a day should do it, making one feel like the queen or king of productivity.
Add tons of online “Happy Birthday” wishes from friends all over the globe (one from a celeb on twitter would have been nice, but hey, famous people are busy, let it go)
Have a wonderful sushi dinner and stargazing with the fam, complete with evil-awesome chocolate cake guaranteed to make your mouth happy and your ass huge. (Schedule plenty of workout time for the following few weeks)
Last but not least, be sure to have an awesome friend who gets you the coolest birthday gift ever: Tickets to the My Chemical Romance concert! (Love you, Katie!)
This recipe guarantees the coolest birthday ever. Follow it to the letter, and you can’t go wrong.
The concert was awesome, Gerard Way was amazing as always and I was in serious danger of drowning in my own drool the whole time he was on stage.
Thank you, friends, close and far, next door and around the world, for making me the best birthday this side of the known universe!
I’ll see you all next year…same bat time…same bat channel.

I wish my last name was Stryker. That sounds just badass enough that when I order no onions, they will NEVER disobey me again. #NoOnions!!!

It would seem that I have found a way to keep in touch and up to date with the fanbase that I write for. (It’s YA Fantasy if you haven’t been paying attention like, I dunno…the past 5 years or so.
)
So, in the middle of forming a fan base, networking with other authors and making actually fun friendships, somehow, I managed to form an unhealthy and obsessive relationship with twitter.
So, after I was introduced to twitter, figured out it’s mysteries, and through many sarcastic musings, and weird postings, I discovered something I should have known from day one: CELEBRITIES also tweet! So guess what? For extremely experimental purposes, I decided to follow one…or two..or 291. Just, you know… to investigate.
Some celebs, (Too many to name) pay someone to tweet nonstop links to stuff they want you to pay for or join or watch, boring to sort through. Others, like Leonardo DiCaprio, Ian Somerhalder and John Cusack use their powers only for good, keeping us updated on world events and others around the planet that need our help and support…and still others, like Alexander Ludwig, Dayo Okeniyi, Jakie Emerson, Gabrielle Union and Robbie Amell are just plain fun to tweet because of the rare fact that they tweet me back! (Yay!) ( I blame those on a sick sick Hunger Games obsession that I can’t seem to shake no matter how hard I try.)
I’m having a blast connecting with others on twitter who love books, movies and celebrities. So far, as you can see, I’ve gotten a few to pay attention to the little guy, which is great stuff, and other times, I’m just plain entertained and inspired by those who aim to make a difference in the world.
I must say, I’ve met a few troublemakers, but it’s still fun to meet people and realize the twitter world is no different than the real world…there are wonders, fun kids, and assholes, just like at the bar.
Let’s face it people. The only difference between the real world and the virtual world is that people hiding behind their words online should STILL remember one important thing: piss off enough people and someone WILL eventually show up at your house. So be good. Just saying.
Now that that’s is over, let’s move on to the OTHER part of my fangirl adventures… and that is that My friend has bought me tickets to My Chemical Romance and Blink 182 for my birthday! So I’ll post how the concert goes, but I’m certain AWESOME will be an understatement just as it was back in April!
SO Excited! I will be posting about how awesome it was as soon as I can… or sober up… or whichever comes first.
Have a great day, citizens!
Love, Kia
